SALLY PEEP MURDERED!
BY FILTHY, MURDERING WOLF

HELP THE VILLAGE -
KILL THE WOLF

The safe, quiet and happy community of Little Lamb Village was forever changed today, when the body of Sally Peep - beloved daughter and skilled Shepherdess - was found, torn to pieces.

Her body was tragically discovered by her uncle, Billy Peep, the town Baker. Seeing one of the new strangers - specifically the male named only as 'Warren Wolfson' - and practically catching him red-handed, Billy raised the alarm. Mr Wolfson - who it has subsquently been discovered is actually part Wolf - was captured.

Also present was Wilfred Peep, the well respected and well known businessman, who is also head of the prosperous and much-loved Peep family.

"I saw him," a teary-eyed Wilfred Peep told us. "He was standing over her body...her dear, delicate body...his hands had blood on them. Her blood. I...I just froze. Then thankfully Billy appeared and rose the alarm and that filthy, murdering Wolf tried to escape. I swear his eyes were an evil red colour."

"He wanted to kill me," Mr Peep added. "I know he did."

The Wolf's 'companions' - a father and daughter called Tony and Virginia Lewis respectively - are suspected by association, but as no evidence has yet been found they are still being considered innocent until proven guilty.

Miss Lewis recently won 'The Beautiful Sheep and Shepherdess Competition' - interestingly enough, beating Sally Peep who came in second - and there are those who are questioning the validity of her win given recent events.

Mary Ramley - who came in third in the same competition and describes Sally as her 'best friend in the entire 4th Kingdom' - was obviously distraught with the news, but managed to give us a few words.

"This is awful, absolutely awful. Sally was such a special friend, and so very talented. She was such a good Shepherdess and deserved to win the competition - there's no way that cheating Miss Lewis should have come first! In any case, I gladly fulfill my fate as I know Sally would have wanted me to, and am proud to take the second place position. I will dedicate this position to her memory."

Until the trial - which is set to take place this afternoon, just before the Marvellous Marrow Competition - the Wolf is being kept imprisoned. Miss Lewis has agreed to represent him at the trial.

The Wolf is expected to be burnt this evening.
